Jerusalem at last!

Finally we make it to the city! It's on top of the mountain. We park in the parking lot of a modern shopping mall. We walk through fancy stores with very familiar names. Walls are made of Jerusalem stone. After crossing the mall we make it to the gate.

The city within the wall is divided among Christians, Jews and Muslims.  We went through all of them, as we pass infinite number of vendors in the passageways of the city.

Seeing Jesus' sepulcher, the stone where his body was prepared, and the place where supposedly the cross was placed is very intriguing and mysterious. Incense is spread all over and crowds of people of all colors walk trough the church hurried along by their tour guides.

We take brake in the Austrian Auspice (off all places!). People seat by a beautiful terrace shaded by fig and other trees and bushes to drink coffee and eat apple strudel. The terrace gives us a view of the mosque, church steeples, the mount of lives, the wall surrounding the city and other places of interest.

We make it to the wailing wall. Women and men split to go to separate areas of the walls. I cover my head with a kippah and touch the wall.

What an experience! Now, we're ready to leave the historic part of the city and have lunch.
